Delete your account
Closing your account, and what goes with it
You can do it yourself, from inside the app, in about ten seconds. This page says exactly what disappears when you do — and what does not.

In the app
Settings → Delete my account
Open 12MaR, go to Settings, and tap "Delete my account" at the bottom. You are asked to confirm, and then — if you signed up with an email address and a password — to type your password again. If you signed in with Google, Google's own sheet asks you instead.
Nothing is removed until that confirmation is through. Cancel at either step and your account is exactly where it was — coins, ranking, player number and all.
There is no undo and no recovery period. Signing up again with the same email address gives you a brand-new account with nothing on it — a new player number, no ranking and no coins.
At once
What is deleted immediately
- Your profile — display name, photo or avatar, country, ranking points, matches played, won and lost, your player number and your coin balance. This is the document other players could see, and it is gone.
- Your sign-in itself — the Firebase Authentication account behind it, and with it your email address. The same email can never sign in to the old account again, because there is no old account.
- Your notification token — the address of this app on this phone, which is what a challenge or a tournament round used to reach you by. Deleted, so nothing can be delivered anywhere.
- Your presence record — the "online now" marker other players saw in the lobby. It is taken down while you are still signed in, so no ghost of you is left standing there to be challenged.
If you are in a live match at that moment it is released first, so your opponent is not left waiting at a board nobody is coming back to.
On a timer
What expires by itself
A match belongs to two people, not one, so the record of it is not on your profile and does not go with it. Each of these carries its own expiry date and is deleted automatically when it arrives — whether or not anybody deleted an account.
| What | Deleted after |
|---|---|
| The board of a match you played | 30 days |
| The result of a match — the two players, the score, the date and the winner | 45 days |
| A result the anti-cheat review flagged, kept as the evidence of a pattern | 2 years |
| A record of coins you sent or received as a gift | 2 years |
| Notes in your notifications inbox | 2 days |
Chat and calls are not in this table because they are not kept at all: chat is deleted when the match ends, and voice and video are never recorded.
What stays
Tournament entries are kept
If you entered a tournament, the entry record stays — which tournament, what you scored in it and where you finished. It is the only record that an entry fee was paid, so deleting it would destroy the proof that somebody's coins went somewhere.
It is deleted with the tournament itself when that tournament is removed. Reports filed about another player also stay, kept with the match they came from — a report is somebody else's account of what happened, not part of the reported player's profile.
Coins are virtual and never convert to money, so there is nothing to pay back. Whatever balance is on the account when you delete it goes with the account — earned, gifted or bought, all the same. Spend them, or send them to somebody as a gift, before you delete.
If you cannot sign in
Ask us by email instead
Lost the password, lost the phone, or the app will not let you in — write to us and we will delete the account for you. Send the message from the email address the account was made with: that address is how we know the request is yours, and a request from any other address cannot be acted on.
What to put in the message
- Your display name — the name other players saw on your card.
- Your player number — the number under your name on your profile, and the one thing that identifies the account exactly.
- A sentence saying you want the account deleted. Nothing else is needed — no reason, and never your password.
The account and everything listed above is deleted within 30 days of us receiving the request, and usually much sooner. We will reply to the same address to say it is done.
We never ask for your password, by email or anywhere else. Anyone who does is not us.
